~ Chocolate Siztas ~

You knew it was coming...and now it's here! The Chocolate Siztas' first Halloween event! Come out and celebrate this "sppoktacular" holiday with us and come represent! We'll have prizes for the best individual costume, as well as the  Me and My "Boo" prize for couples. There'll be great food, excellent music and as always, a memorable atmosphere. In addition, we'll be debuting our 2010 Full Figured & Fabulous calendar and the models will be present! So come on out and meet our pin-ups. We'll be at the Fathers Resource Center: 3433 Ramona Avenue, Sacramento and this is an 18+ event--we will be carding.

We are holding a full-figured model search on May 30, 2009. There are two locations, one in Sacramento (The Fathers Resource Center: 3433 Ramona Ave., Sacramento, 95826) and one in the Bay Area (Diane Avenue Church of Christ: 283 Diane Ave., Pittsburg, 94565). We're looking for men and women of all shapes and sizes. The only two requirements for participation are: 1) You be plus-sized  AND 2) You be 18 at the time of application. CS will be holding it's 2nd Gospel Event on May 9, 2009, from noon to 3:00 p.m.. The "Been Blessed" Gospel Luncheon will feature live entertainment, a wide array of vendors, poetry, and of course...food! The event will be held at the Oak Park Community Center at 3425 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Sacramento, Ca. Regular tickets are available here (by clicking the PayPal button in the corner) and at the door as well. However, given capacity restrictions, we advise purchasing tickets in advance! Come on out and celebrate Mother's Day with the Chocolate Siztas!!

Come out and celebrate the "holiday of love" with the Chocolate Siztas at our 2nd Valentine's Day event! This year, we'll be having it at Queen Sheba at 1704 Broadway in Sacramento, from 7p-11p. So come join us for exotic food, smooth music and an evening of erotic poetry. We will also have an open mic, so bring your best!! Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Please note that drinks are NOT included in that price and that food is on a first come, first serve basis. So come early to get a plate and a good seat! Here's a chance for the full-figured community to show up and show out!

The TYJ Brunch was a hit! The event featured live music from Evangelist Shirley Craven, Sista O & D'Vine Praize, performances from All God's Children and Monica Johnson of G.L.O.W. (Godly Ladies of Worship). Reverend Tammie Denyse was also there, delivering words of inspiration and offering blessings for all in attendance. The Brunch also included the "Thank You Mama Fashion Show." Vendors were also on hand, offering wares such as art, poetry, beauty consultations, bath and body products, purses and hats.

Our inaugural event was held at The Loft in Sacramento on J Street. For the Grown & Sexy, we had specialized drinks created for us--the Grown & Sexy and the Chocolate Sizta. We also had several vendors there, offering intimate products, bath & body products, candles and more. Entertainment included poetry by Ifa Edington and a plus-sized fashion show, "Boardroom to the Bedroom."
